The problem with our common language is that we think we have one. - Jeff Cook
Essential Principles

Ahimsa - the guiding force of non-violence that Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. based their lives on. Also love, respect, responsiblity, reverence, compassion, harmony, conscious action, and especially that forgotten eighth grace - simplicity.

Financial Responsibility

This site is not about making profit. That is no issue. It accepts no ads, but will accept contributions and works with some very select affiliates. Of the money that does come in, 10% of the gross will be tithed to various not for profit groups, including OxFam, Physicians Without Borders, World Wildlife Fund, and Contemplative Outreach.

Dedications

This site is dedicated to all those beings who stood up and told us that we don't have to be ignorant, in particular, the great spiritual beings, Jesus and Gautama Buddha. It is also, inspired by many historical figures including Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, Mohandas K. Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Galileo, Leonardo Da Vinci, R. Buckminster Fuller, G. I. Gurdjieff, Socrates, Goethe, Teddy Roosevelt, the Iroquois Nation, the Hopis, Ben Frankiln, and St. John of the Cross.

Contemporary beings who I owe much inspiration to are my dynamic, very independent, high integrity, and loving family, Father Thomas Keating, Eugene McCarthy, Paul Wellstone (Wellstone Lives!), Ralph Nader, and Ken Wilber.

Two of the people who have set the greatest examples of how to live and participate in our present society without selling your soul, are Bill Moyers and Jimmy Carter. Both of them honor their spiritual background, remain humble and open to new and challenging ideas, and "walk their talk." They are making the world a much better place. I cannot give enough thanks to both of you for your integrity and dedication. Please watch Bill Moyers on Now every week on PBS.

The biggest human temptation is to settle for too little. - Thomas Merton
